All Glass Sculptures ... Emperor Bowls are blown glass vessels featuring abstract expressionist coloration. Randi Solin applies each color by hand, creating layered compositions of light and color in glass. "The distinct shape of the Emperor Bowl came to me in a lucid dream many years ago. It was inspired by classic Chinese vessels and Japanes Randi F. Solin first established Solinglass Studio in Mt. Shasta, California in 1995, and later relocated in 1997 to its present studio in Brattleboro, Vermont. Interwoven layers of glass cane arc across this stunning blown glass vessel, evoking the colors of a summer meadow—green and saffron grasses, purple heather, and white clover.
